Taiwanese Design Goes Global — RAFAC × OUTDOOR NATION Debut at Maison&Objet Paris
At the global design fair Maison&Objet Paris, Taiwanese brands RAFAC and OUTDOOR NATION made their debut with a shared vision — blending function, aesthetics, and sustainability through cross-cultural collaborations.

RAFAC unveiled its new series co-created with the National Palace Museum, inspired by the calligraphy masterpiece “Fast Snow After Clear Skies” and the mythical guardian Jade Bixie. Using advanced 360° knitting and recycled coffee yarn, the socks combine vivid color, breathable comfort, and quick-dry performance, reimagining socks as cultural design objects for the new urban outdoor generation.
OUTDOOR NATION, in collaboration with Korean illustrator Noyisin, presented a playful blanket series featuring the beloved character Crocodile Peter. Each piece transforms humor and artistry into tactile form through knitted textures — perfect for picnics, camping, or home décor, embodying the brand’s spirit of “soft outdoor living.”
The joint showcase drew strong interest from international buyers. Italian concept-store curators praised the blankets’ fusion of art and practicality, while U.S. outdoor brands commended RAFAC’s approach to merging design and function.
Together, both brands exemplify Taiwan’s new wave of textile design — where craftsmanship, culture, and sustainability intertwine.
